Raíces, Rutas, y Ritmos

Sophia has partnered with with local photographer Roderico Diaz and media cooperative Iximche Media with Raices, Rutas, y Ritmos, an exhibit project that documents the influence of Latin American music in North Carolina. This project has evolved into a concert series, organized in collaboration with the Duke University Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies, to bring local Latinx and Latin American musicians into the focus of conversations about music-making in the South. This collaborative project shows how the shifting cultural landscape of North Carolina is anchored by a diversity of Latinx musical voices.
